A little while ago the mechanic where you could swap to another gun quicker was removed. Could you bring that back. Sea of thieves is a pure skill game meaning that cosmetics dont impact who wins in a fight. Only skill do. by removing quick swap that skil gap was removed. Please bring it back.

@captain-dott232 the quickswap mechanic was using an exploit that not only was dependent on skill but also on hardware (higher fps helped) since it was using an exploit it got removed and will not come back, the devs have been quite clear on it having no place in the game.

The game has a wider skill gap in tdm style play than ever before because the accuracy is way up in a post-HG environment.
The only thing that really does significant damage to skill based environment is the brig speed and game performance being so inconsistent.
People with accurate shots do just as well after quick swap was changed.
Out of all of the "fairness" stuff they have addressed so far, quick swap what the clearest exploit of them all in a "tools not rules" game. Took far too long to address imo which added to the drama of it all but a completely fair change to make. It was literally cancelling what was intended lol.
Quick swap was a bug—they paid an animator to make the gun swap animation, paid a programmer to make it take time, and the ability to skip it was unintended. It was not "tech," it was not "skill," it was a bug and an exploit and was rightfully removed.
Your skill comes from knowing the ships, how to move, how to avoid being shot, what weapons to use when, when to board, when to fire, when to swap... The skill gap is still wide even without exploits.
@captain-dott232 hours in this game have nothing to do with one on one pvp skills. I have over 3600 hours in this game and it dose not make me a pvp lord. The ferryman and I go way back to the very beginning of the sea. Pvp just ain't my thing.

Doesnt take skill to fire oneself into the sky, come close to enemy ship and toss blunder and firebombs on it.
No skill to use exploits. Not even skillful if all they do is try to board and fail, rinse and repeat.Only skill do. by removing quick swap that skil gap was removed.
Exploit is not a skill.
