Legend of the Veil FEEDBACK

  • There is no good reason that I should have to sail 25 squares to get to the tornado, literally passing through 2 spots where the event can spawn just to go from The Devil's Thirst (W21) to East of Marauder's Arch (S2).

  • Some other LotV suggestions..

Just some pre-suggestion background info.. I’ve completed over 90 LotVs so well on my way to finishing the commendation to complete 100.

At the end of a Belle chapter - ancients vs phantoms island fight please spawn the trinkets in an ancient treasure chest.

As a solo player I tend to bring my own but there are times where it’s the first step of the veil quest and I don’t have one and it’s quite annoying to have to walk back and forth four times from my ship to the battle location.

Some Belle island battle locations aren’t really an issue but others are.. Devil’s Ridge and Krakens Fall are both horrible unless you have an empty chest because the fight takes place way up high on the island.

During the final part of a veil quest (and again as a solo) I find it odd that the ghost garrison emplacements and the central large fort hardly fire any cannons at all.

Most of the damage I take is from the ghost ships.

So what I think would be better is if the ghost ships wouldn’t respawn once defeated and the phantoms would start to fire a lot more fort cannons at player ships.

The accuracy of the fort cannons manned by phantoms should be like sea fort cannoneers and not like skeleton fort cannoneers.

The goal is to make the final chapter more exciting but not increase the difficulty by much.

Skeleton fort cannoneers are deadly accurate and would make the event too challenging.

Sea fort phantom cannoneers are more suited to the job.

  • Compared to the standard and Ashen Athena Voyages, LotV is easier, quicker and gives faster grade 5. I think it's a good thing they bring these more in line with each other and happy they didn't used the route of making the others more easy.

  • no good reason that I should have to sail 25 squares to get to the tornado

One of those. “I don’t wanna sail far away for something” they rather it spawn next to them and get easy picking

  • Actually there is a good reason. It’s a voyage meant for legends. It should be more challenging and take longer

  • @nit890 that’s the server trying to put you nearby other players for some tasty PvPvE. You’re welcome.

  • Okay coming back to this post.

This actually happened to me tonight.
Started at Crooked Masts for Sudds, dig at Crooks Hollow (not bad). Next was a shipwreck West of Plunder Outpost (okay…). Then the kicker. North of Old Faithful Isle. Not a single ship around me either the whole time, so legit no reason to send me up there. Comical!

  • @wonderwaffle559 we can guess as to the intentions but this is a newer mechanic with it being a lot rarer previously. I'm glad I've already finished mine. It could be to stop people from farming specific routes but with it not being mentioned in any patch notes I've seen I can't help but wonder if it's unintentional

  • when it doesnt exist i'd love to remember the pain in the you-know-wehere, to do athenas voyage, the classics, or the ashen one, that gives you more skull than athena's stuff... the veil is like a cute little walk on sunday after launch, when the temperature outside is warm but not hot. if for you it's too far the thing, close the veil and restart one. i've done 45 of them, and just one was really far from me, but never 25 squares. maybe is caused by some raid or some ship tat force him to be so far from you...i don't think this could be normal TBH

  • Patch notes mention rebalancing for this so looks like either wasn't intentional or they agree with feedback
