Players get out of hand.

I was just on a voyage while minding my own business on an ancient veil voyage as a french pirate tried tucking on my boat. After killing him he called me „salle chien“ and said I was cheating. While in fact I was just better than him and it was a rather even fight. Later he came back and seemed invincible and every cannonshot he made hit me from a mile away. Which rather confused me because he certainly lacked of such skill before. Meanwhile still calling me out as a dirty dog and a cheater. Then my game crashed and I lost a file from the game. This had never happened before. And keep in mind that I was already suspicious of his newly accuired „skillset“. But the thing I think happened is that he was so bitterly crushed by my prior victory that he really told himself I was cheating. He then activated his own anti-cheat program, by turning on his own ‚skillset‘. But in the end he was the only one with cheats enabled.
So the problem I see here is that players who feel they have an encounter with a cheater justify themselves in getting cheats of their own to take matter in their own hands. It‘s just a thought I had because I had a similar encounter a while back in which the person said he‘ll activate his cheats to battle me - again an individual which was confused by skills(or lucky accudents) and actual foul play. The point is that these players don‘t seem to notice that they become the problem of their own. But maybe it‘s just the french nature - nothing against the french folk, but I only had bad encounters with french people. I gained a rather great vocabulary of french insults while playing this game. But I will not utter this black tongue here.
