Those of us from the early days might remember (or maybe I'm just imagining this) when each region had different cosmetics for sale such as Admiral Items only being sold in the Shores of Plenty. Personally I preferred this as even if I just jumped on to do some browsing in the shops and I wasn't spawned at the desired area, it meant I had to actually sail for a short while making a shopping voyage. I understand the reasons why they didn't keep to this but wish they'd revert it back to this and then allow the vendors at the Sea Dog's to sell every item making the Sea Dog's Tavern area into a shopping mall of Sea of Thieves
Perhaps expanding on this the cargo NPC's on Islands and sea posts could be included in this too, giving reason for players to visit them more often.

I'm all for having cosmetic availability being dependent on location. More reasons to cross the sea of thieves the better. I'd definitely would prefer this pitch without mention of a "shopping mall" though. Sounds so wrong for the setting. Now, a Sea Dog's Market on the other hand...THAT I can get behind 100%.
Still think I'd prefer the mercenaries idea for repurposing the Sea Dog's Tavern though but honestly, I'll take whatever Rare thinks is best.

LOL, I wouldn't actually call it a shopping mall, just used that as a basis so everyone understands its the place to get everything, Personally I'd keep it named Sea Dog's Tavern
@pithyrumble If sailing for literally 5-10 mins was that much of a problem you could've server hopped lol, maybe you're glad but I'm not
@pithyrumble Oh wow, I'd completely forgotten how long loading in took on Xb1. But now that you mention it, I used to hit set sail and then go smoke because I usually had time before it would wake me up. It was like a good luck ritual after a certain point.
