I think that I speak on behalf of the ENTIRE Sea of Thieves community here when I say that WE NEED a griddy emote.
Right now we have the current best emote that has faced the seven seas, the Crab Dab. But I think it's reign at the top has lasted way too long and we need some fresh blood on the throne, which is where the griddy comes in.
Just imagine getting sturdy on the number two deck after you just sank that level 5 Athena's fortune emissary, or hitting the griddy after winning a long and hard battle. There is endless possibilities on where you can get sturdy in the Sea of Thieves.
I've came up with a list of possible pirate themed names for the griddy emote.
- Jolly Roger Shuffle
- Swashbuckling Steps
- Treasure Hunter's Jig
- Buccaneer's Bounce
- Marauder's March
- Plunderer's Patter
- Cutlass Clap
- Scallywag Strut
- Privateer's Prance
- Blackbeard's Boogie
My personal favorite being the "Scallywag Strut" I think that's probably the best one on my list, or if you wanna be more direct with the name "Gangplank Griddy" would be a good fit.
I think there should also be a real silly goofy pirate twist on the dance move too. As we see in the current best emote the "Crab Dab" the brilliant geniuses at Rare thought of having our pirates click their hands before dabbing, ABSOLUTELY GENIUS I MUST ADD. Now I'm absolutely sure when the Scallywag Strut (I will be referring to the griddy as this from now on) is added to Sea of Thieves the bright minds at Rare will have came up with a brilliant pirate twist for the Scallywag Strut, but I came up with the idea of my own. Maybe adding some more swinging in the arms like we're slashing our cutlasses would make the Scallywag Strut fit in more within the world of Sea of Thieves. However the Scallywag Strut is already a flawless dance move and may not need any "pirate flair" to make it fit in.
I speak on behalf of the entire Sea of Thieves community when I say, I hope the Scallywag Strut gets added to the next season and I am absolutely FILLED with excitement and anticipation for its arrival.
