    Okay so... stay with me now.
    Try not to get offended just yet.
    Bait.

    I am bait.
    Slaps on an Athena Em. Maybe puts in an extra gold payment to sweeten the pot. You sail. +1 beacon. Maybe even Reapers at various levels can see you if you're at a certain bait level. The more stuff you pick up the higher your bait level. Chest of Legends is 1 bait. Silvered cup is also 1 bait.

    Dunno about levels yet. Just a basic idea.

    If you red sea as bait it does float out to the edges.

    If you sink in combat (like up to a minute later) your loot takes longer to float but there are supply barrels too. Random loot is also generated based on how long you were bait and if you fought or not.

    Okay. Maybe get offended now.

    It's an interesting idea to draw some PvP...but it seems effectively like running an Emissary + Flag of the Reaper's Mark.

    The only thing I can take away from this is that the addition of bringing red sea'd loot back into playable territory (a common request) and barrels of supplies floating up along with the sunken remains of the target vessel (an less common request).

    Everything else just screams using the worthless and underutilized "Reaper's Mark" flag, which, I mean... I might have had an extra idea or two for it. Otherwise this just doesn't seem too enticing of a "bait" idea, dangling raw mutton to a hungry wolf as a sheep just seems a little... extra.

    If this idea is refined a little bit I might see how this could be a slight shakeup, but in the meantime, it needs work.
