Skeletal ships stop fighting and go under - please change behaviour

  • A few times recently we've noticed that the emergent skeleton ships go under again while we're fighting them and they have not yet been defeated. It coincides with the current world event ending.

Somewhere I've read that has to do with that there won't be emergent skeleton ships during a Fleet world event.

As after a world event the Kraken will appear and has to be dealt with, I think that the emergent skeletal ships can be active for a while longer (after the Kraken is defeated or is timed out and despawns). Perhaps have no new emergent skeletal ships spawn during the period between the end of the world event and the end of the Kraken event, but let us have a chance of finishing the fight with the skeletal ships.

  • @lem0n-curry Yes. I get so annoyed when we engage a skeleton ship only to have it duck underwater when we have it on the ropes. I’m left standing at the rail saying, “neat trick” as they disappear forever.

  • @ghostpaw I agree. It's really annoying. I've had that happen as well. I've also seen this problem... We had a skelly galleon from a fleet event stuck behind some rocks. It was filled to the second deck and about to sink. All of a sudden it went under and respawned next to us with no water or holes. It was the last ship in the fleet event. It was really frustrating to have to start all over and burn through more supplies.

I also feel like the skelly galleons need to be nerfed a bit. The fact that they can spam cursed cannonballs and sail like a speed boat to get into a shooting position, seems a bit broken in my opinion. Not to mention the aimbot accuracy. I like fighting the skelly ships, but they seem a bit over powered right now.

  • You know I’ve actually had them despawn after the bell rings and they’re sinking. Didn’t get any loot from that :/

  • While frustrating, I just look at it as the AI version of Red Sea Running. Sometimes opponents run away and escape.

Thankfully it is less common with AI than it is with players at least.

  • I find it funny and proud moment.

I take it as, “Oh snap this crew is crazy and deadly. Let get out of here”
