how many more years will it take to fix hitreg and optimize the game

    I shouldn't even have to explain it... You should know how terribly optimized the game is. And how horrible the hitreg is. The game has been out for over THREE YEARS and hitreg has only been getting worse.

    A forum post won't do anything to fix it, countless have been made but no strides in the right direction to fix hitreg has been made, or even considered. But what else should we do? Just sit around acting like nothing is wrong meanwhile hitreg already made every good player quit and killed the competitive side of the game.

    Is it satisfying to you, to 5 tap someone with sniper and pistol? Is it satisfying to shoot someone point-blank with a blunder, and have them only take half damage? Is getting hit with a sword from the other side of the ship, or even through walls satisfying?

    It wasn't an issue during the start of the game. But then a couple months after, it got worse, then worse, then worse, then worse, then worse. And now it's to the point where you can re-create the hitreg issue with ease.

    Nagging like this does nothing, it's been said thousands of times but Rare still doesn't listen. Instead they fix the fun glitches that people like doing, instead of fixing actual issues.

    Hit-reg is obviously a difficult problem to fix, otherwise rare would’ve fixed it by now.

    Rare also can never completely fix hit reg. Everyone has different internet speeds and hardware, and slow speeds will mess with the hit-reg.

    Being shot out to random places from the cannon like 70% of the time in pvp over the last week has done me the favor of taking my mind off the hit reg issues

    @aribalam They can't completely fix it. But the state that it's in, is possible the worst reg in any AAA game.

    Hit-reg is bad, but I think you're overly frustrated because of it and are exaggerating as a result.

    I would say over 90% of my "hits" register and I've only ever seen my team mate cannon in a random direction once.

    While a problem, and frustrating when you lose over it, remember that they are having the same problems. Unless it's your internet, but then Rare can't do anything about that.

    @galactic-geek Nah hitreg is really bad, and it got much worse lately. The bad part now its not only other pirates but NPC's too.
    So at this point its complete madness. Everybody getting angry. And you can see the amount of posts on the forum. Game is frustrating at times.

    @jadescissors32 NPCs just now getting bad? They were bad long before other pirates suffered from this affliction.

    Has it gotten worse? I never see a difference between patches.

    Likewise. All of the hit-reg issues that Rare says they fixed already are areas where I have yet to see hit-reg since too, so... 🤷‍♂️

    @galactic-geek I never get it on PC since the last couple of patches. Sometimes when I play on Xbox.
    @wolfmanbush Getting shot out of the cannon randomly just adds a little extra adventure, especially when you are attempting boarding a ship. Though this also does not happen like it used to. It used to be almost every time!

    @dr-orchamedes You gotta be insanely lucky if it rarely happens.
    My internet is good. 20-40 ping avg and yet I still get hitreg every couple of hits. Frustrating dying in a tdm because of reg.

    @burnbacon It really has. Before, near the launch of the game it was average reg you'd see in most other games. Then a couple months later it got worse, then a couple months after that, it got worse, then worse, then every comp player quit after that... Then it got worse after that too. It's almost like every patch it gets worse.

    Not to mention backtracks. I have a clip where I double-backtracked someone in the water. Here
    It gets so much worse than that.
