Voice Chat.. Unsolvable

    I started playing Sea of thieves yesterday , my two friends can hear and talk to everyone in the game BUT ofc i am the unlucky one with problems "Sad face".
    i Cant Hear anyone and they cant hear me either.
    1.I tried everything that is mentioned in 3 pages of google So yea.
    tried every single step here https://support.seaofthieves.com/hc/en-gb/articles/115012749647-Windows-10-Audio-Chat
    and nothing works.
    2.tried different head set.
    3.set my output and input correctly everywhere possible
    4.activated my mic in the windows privacy and enabled sea of thieves and xbox bar
    5.set the output and input in the sound/advanced sound option/app volume
    6.set the output in game to speakers even tho i am using a headphones just coz i heard it fix stuff
    7.checked my xbox website privacy settings.

    in the Audio of Xbox game bar i CANT see my mic bar move at all even tho it works fine in the Capture of the xbox bar and on other games and discord.
    i would appreciate any ideas even tho i am sure i already tried it :(

    @azugami do you see the little chat bubble top right of your screen when playing SoT? Have you changed your push to talk settings in game?

    @lizalaroo i did change my push to talk button and i do see the icon at the top right appear when i press it but again no one can hear me nor can i hear anyone.
    I even tried without the push to talk same problem.

    i Still think its somehow related to the Xbox Bar Coz i cant figure out why doesnt my mic bar move at all but using the Capture function works perfectly .

    Do you mean after pressing Windows G? And checking the audio tab there?
    Never mind just saw your link. I'm sure you've tried changing that to other things in your audio list?

    @azugami Do you have a VR headset? because i also tried everything and it didnt work for me... After weeks of trying everything i found out that my Oculus Rift was the problem. I disconected the VR headset and also disabled it in configuration options and everything works since then.

    Here is a picture where i actually disabled my headset hope it works.

    @azugami this might fix it

    1. open SOT and keep it open

    2. Open settings, be start then the little gear (control panel)

    3. Open the system section

    4. Left side click sound

    5. Click on the advanced options

    6. This is why SOT has to be open so that part shows it (it wont show SOT if the game isnt open). You will see input and output for it, make sure they are set to the correct mic/headphones/speakers.

    7. Restart SOT and test it.

    Also i know it sounds dumb but it has gotten me before, if its headphone plug make sure its plugged into the correct port (pink)

    And also make sure the headset isnt muted (some have a button/slider built into it) thats gotten me also

    Additionally to the above options, does it work without Discord open?

    Sometimes my Discord hijacks the mic totally, other times I sound like a robot dolphin underwater on my mic, and to fix that I force close Discord, restart it, then I use Discords voice test, to see if it works.
