So recently I had quite an annoying game. I was solo sloop, getting into a clash with a 3 man brigantine, both our ships having supplies and loot. Their ship sinks but they're all 3 alive, and manage to kill me. I respawn, and they just repossessed my ship instead... so I got spawnkilled the moment I tried to do anything.
So instead I opt in to leave them completely shipless, scuttle my own, respawn and get close while they are struggling in the ocean with no vessel.
I COULDN'T SCUTTLE. No matter how many times I flicked that option, my ship never broke down or sunk from it. I couldn't force my OWN ship to respawn elsewhere and try a different approach, I was either having to face spawncamping over and over, idling at the ferry, or just flat out leave the entire server.
Has anyone else been having issues with this since the latest update?
