Make Dogs less scared all the time, it is so sad, i rarely take one with me :)

  • Just the title. They are ALWAYS whimpering like they are going to get hurt. It is so sad.

I don't have this issue with the other pets because they are smaller and they are somehow not as sad when scared.....

Make them excited/riled up when in combat! Don't have them contribute, but make them at least bark and growl, not cower in fear...it's just too sad to see

It's ok to cower when hit by cannonballs, but not when i swing my sword on the other side of the ship or fire a gun :)

  • If anything they should be automatically dismissed during PVE or PVP combat

The screaming sounds in unison like the climax of an Ace Ventura movie from multiple pets during conflict is a real distraction no matter what sound they are making

  • yeah, im not a fan of constantly hearing what sounds like somebody abusing a puppy every time i swing a sword or fire a gun. its such a turnoff that i dont even use the dog anymore.

  • Really? My dog is always sleeping down below deck and I have to find him.

Every pet acts this way tho, not just dogs. Screams and flees when bad things happen and yip/yell randomly.
    So its not dogs.

That is actually a really funny way of putting it.

I love my cats but I could do without hearing Captain Cat Nip screaming bloody meows while I fight.

  • I think editing the sound file or animation needs to be done. It's needs to be comical and whimsical not horrible and sad like it is.

  • I personally find the dogs to be the quietest and least intrusive during combat, with monkeys being the worst by far. Every time I equip the monkey I am reminded of why he normally stays in the chest once a weapon is drawn.
