I feel like the vaults timer is to short it's impossible to get all the loot as a solo player you literally have to make a choice between the gold the chests or the metals by the time I get them the door is already closed and the room flooding.

or you could do a gally crew open or looking for group post then you'll get it done
@closinghare208 but then you have the risk of joining trolls or having trolls join you which I somehow seem to always join the pyros of the seas that like to set the ship ablaze

you get what you what when you make a looking for group post on xbox app or xbox and you can put no trolls it works for me but idk if it'll work for you

you can get the main chest and most of the other loot solo. there is a trick to getting the riddle done with only one medallion.
you don't have to do a riddle with that only tall tales you do but what ever
@closinghare208 when I say the riddle I mean the pillars you have to change to get the main chest from begind the locked door. most people collect all three medallions to get the chest I only get one. it saves loads of time and allows solo player the ability to get most of the loot as well.

the 4th pillar is a combo of the first 3. its just deductive after that. usually 1 will narrow the final pillars 1 or 2 sides so you just enter those in and boom the door opens

Working as intended. You aren't suppose to do it solo. The game was never intended nor designed around being able to complete objectives solo.
Get a crew.
I don't think the timer should be changed, upon starting the vault, the music kinda acts like a timer where it starts off low, and begins to get louder, adding tension to show the doors are coming down and you don't have a lot of time left. Making the timer shorter feels like ruining everyone's loot collecting and getting the Ancient Tribute chest.
