Rebind contextual menu keys

  • Hello,

I've played sea of thieves for some time over a year and I find it odd that I'm unable to rebind the contextual menu keys. I.E. I have all the keys remapped since I play left handed with keyboard + mouse however when I open a menu such as a barrel or the item wheel the game uses the default bindings of "X", "R", "Q", "E", etc. to navigate through the menus. I would greatly appreciate it if the ability to rebind these menu keys was added to the game to make life easier for those who don't play with standard keys.

  • 100x yes.

The only reason I can think why they haven't done this yet is because those bindings are much more intricate than we think.

  • @flabbiestpage06 I do believe that you can rebind keys on a keyboard. At least I have the ability to.

  • @dominusocto7 correct. @FlabbiestPage06 's point is that there are certain keys you can't bind and it would be great if you could.

  • @dominusocto7 yes of course the standard movement keys and interact keys can be rebound. However when inside a menu such as a barrel, the weapon/item wheel, etc. it will use the default binds and not your custom ones. i.e. to turn the pages of a tall tale book you must press Q and E, which cannot be rebound. It also applies to the key to exit barrels and transfer all or selected items from barrels, you're forced to use default keys.

  • @flabbiestpage06 Ah. So that's what you meant. that is kind of annoying
