Practice mode

  • i think rare should add a practice mode where you fight skeleton ships until you ship sinks that you can play with freinds and you have unlimited resources to repair. also the skeleton ships re spawn like in the skeleton fleets

  • I like where you're coming from, but don't you think that would get rather tedious after a while? Also, I'd rather Rare use their resources to provide much needed fixes and updates to the base game.

Well, Sir ...You have already the Maiden Voyage where you can learn about what Sea of Thieves really embraces but the hang of getting into shipfights are being done in the game itself...Oh, no, don't give me that sad look, Sir ...You aren't lost...

First and most important of all , you need to stop seeing a sunk ship ,of your own , not as a defeat but more as an experience that just has taught you something...During a fight ,you need to learn to use your senses in a way that you can rewind them and find out why you sunk...Be Carefull, i didn't say you need to rewind to point a blaming finger towards a crewmember or to yourself…
You need to find the strenght and lesser traits of your companions as well as yourself . Once again, not to blame ,ridiculize them or slap them on the finger…

i will take myself as an example , i'm totally worthless in melee fights who are , these days , renamed as pvp action...In shipbattles , however ,i'm not that bad , but i'm not the best shot . i have also missed the dish with cheese upon when the Helmswheel Talent was served but … i like repairing...So i count the impacts of enemy cannons, then run down if i count two...i'm always in time to repair and bail the ship and i'm not afraid to call for help for bailing or repairing if the heat is pressed on...

Communicate with eachother , get to know eachother ,use and develop your social skill and it takes a few sessions before you feel that your crew starts to grow like an oiled machine...

This may sound like a timerobbing, or patience testing ordeal, but it isn't . It's fun and remarkable to see a " stranger" Crew work and grow to eachother and in the end becomes a force to be reckoned with…

Sea of Thieves is a bit a reflection of life ...You sit there quiet , in the corner and nothing good will happen to you ,but if you stand up ,walk to others , start to talk to them , you will learn and meet many future friends that will open a lot of oppertunities…

Now, Mr Get Out of the Cab , what are you still reading this ? Hm? Last time i remembered you wanted to practise shipbattles, yes? Well, go out there , yes there on the Sea , that's where you finght , lose and gain experience and trust for the next encounters ...What are you saying?

GetOutTheCab: " Drop those sails , raise the Capistan and load those Cannons , ye landlubbers , let's sail untill every Pirate shivers when they see our flag"...

Old George :" Aaaah, Thats' my boy!! ".
