    Nobody is cheating. There are plenty of players out there who work on taking advantage of any and all available exploits. They work on that stuff all the time, until it becomes second nature. Double gunning, wall banging, x-cancel, etc. Nothing wrong with that. It's part of the game, until it gets patched out.

    Stop whining and play. Figure out ways to counteract their advantage. I've gone against superior 1v1 players with my crew before, and come out victorious. Not every time of course. But it's possible. Work on the things you can get better at. Sailing. Cannons. Strategy. Gunpowder!

    Existing and being commonplace are two different things altogether. Hacks are extremely rare in this game, regardless of the few YouTube videos you see. Been playing since day 1, never once seen anything I could call a hacker or cheater.

    @captain-taben Real mature there bub, and definitely not helping your case. There are more hackers in GTA IV and CoD than this game...ON THE 360.

    @captain-taben Yet there is no crossplay with PC gamers in either title, and those hacked lobbies have been there since shortly after their release (and I have seen those)...AND STILL NOT FIXED. What you got to say now about the big, bad PC hackers....HMMMMM? Sure doesn't fit into your false narrative now, does it.

    We were all aware of the modding 360 days.
    That all changed with the release of the One series. Right up until crossplay was introduced onto games.
    Thankfully Rare's Sea of Thieves game comes out of its Beta early 2020 and splits into two retrospective titles,
    Sea of Thieves and Sea of Cheats.

    1. I doubt you ran into players 'cheating'.
    2. Send your videos/images you collected of said 'cheaters' to M.S. and Rare with your reports.
    3. Just hang around the websites that offer these cheats and see what's working and not working.

    I have no doubt that hacks exist but i've been playing for a long time and have yet to come across anyone using hacks. Some people just very good at the game and are able to execute things at a higher level then other players but alot of players look at these people and can't get past there own ego to say wow he was a really good player instead there fragile ego is broken and they resort to calling people hackers. Just today i got called a hacker because i'm very good at using the cannon.

    It really comes down to people just accepting that there is always the possibility of someone being better. There are days we all get frustrated and just gotta accept it at times. I can't tell you how many times I get called a hack just cause I know how to run and pop off quick shots with decent accuracy.

    Even then, most hackers are quite apparent and rarely do they have their system setup so well that it is questionable. So then its usually easy to tell based on what is going on. Of course this is with reason. Some people just don't understand this.

    Yep, totally agree! In last few days I can see hacks are back (I came here to say that!), the usual two: aim bot and ESP. If you are in denial that cheaters exists may I suggest you firstly just open your eyes and secondly use a search engine for 30 seconds.

    What we, as community should be doing, is accepting they exist and discussing how to discover users of them, so that peeps can report them with greater confidence. If you undertsand how the cheats work, they are blatently obvious to see, especially ESP and aimbot. However, given we can't do that on these forums that's a tad tricky... instead we have pointless debate about if they exist or not.

    My main problemn is being fast enough or close to get the nametags... if my crew are dessimated bv a sniper who is so far away I can barely see them with a telescope... I can't get the name tag...

    No one denies they exist. I think the usage of them, and the abilities they provide, are overstated. Running into people actually using them is pretty rare.

    You can also always get the gamertag from the XBox recent players list even if you never get close enough for it to pop in game. Recent players appear if you get within player render range.

    But that is just your opinion from your obersverations, it doesn't necessarily match those of other players (e.g. ViperishEmu292). Looking at one cheat it has half a million views.... anyway I am really glad you don't run into them, but let's not assume others are not.

    Lirk the original poster, I have ran into more in the last two weeks than the last six months. Unlucky conincidence or an uptick I don't know...

    The players generally don't appear in my recent players list.

    99% of the time someone calls hacks, there aren't any. Very few people hack man, if you lose a battle and it really feels that fishy, then just jump to a new server.
