Rare boasted over 8.3 million people have played their game. But this number includes 8 million people who played for a very brief period and quit without ever looking back. Considering this new content patch is all about this fort we can look at the Defeating the damened achievement which is just clearing the fort 1 time. So thats about 41,500 people. To be kind lets double that number for people who streamers like Summit and Pace etc brought into the game who dont care about playing the base game just want to sail around trolling other players, add in a bunch of pure noobs who cant even grasp the base content let alone the new content and maybe, being generous, 100,000 active players. Not that big of a player base to be at the point where they ignore insider as well as general player feedback and suggestions

They don't ignore player feedback and suggestion, they are working on improving lots of stuff and adding more content. And a 100k active players is pretty good but I assume it are more then that because not everyone does the new fort of is waiting for the glory weekend. Only the devs know the real numbers.
My only real issue with the game currently is the damn server lag with 500+ ping when lots of players are close to eachother. They really need to fixed the servers :P
