The arena opt out is a soft one at the moment. You have to chose it on the screen select. In the end you still may run into PC players due to the Xbox only servers may not have enough players opting out at that moment and you would be placed in a regular server.

Unfortunately Rare hasn’t said otherwise. They are adamant about wanting a shared world but things change. Only time will tell.

You act like we won't play if opt-out is enabled, none of us have said that. You on the other hand have been very childish vocal about the fact you won't until it's implemented.

It's against my better judgment but we'll try this one more time.
We have voiced our opinion that it is splitting the playerbase, and is a waste of development time.
What I enjoyed about crossplay was the fact that we encounter people of varying skill levels.

Now you have previously mentioned that if it was balanced you would agree and opt in to the mixed pool, so what/how would you balance it?

And what about all those games where you mentioned which provide input based cross play opt-out are they not fair?

It's sounds like you just want this to be Xbox only and you can't explain why past "it's a choice"

I don't know why you think it's not possible, it's what all the other cross play games do.

All we have said, like you, is our first preference is to keep cross play in adventure as it's not competetive gameplay, and since that's not possible, second preferred option is for input based cross play.

I just like my game to look good.

Not popular on both sides, but I still think standard sensitivity would solve forced cross play.

What about hot keys? Xbox has 5 that doesn't interfere without hindering the game.( actually 3 but I'm just counting viable spots)

@inboundbomb I’ve remapped my standard controller to be a bit more “competitive”. A controller keyboard actually helps with the minor things like shovel and what not.

@NeedSmokes I’ve been using a standard ssd on OG Xbox about a month after release, total game changer. It’s shame on Rare for forcing the purchase of hardware when no other game requires such.

In the end it’s sensitivity what truly widens the skill gap in games involving first person combat.

Controller mapping isn't what I meant. Actual key binding to objects. A controller without any other peripherals can have 5. I want to know if the k&m is limited to the same amount or can have more.
