Game causing crazy Hdd Activity

  • Hi

Has anyone here suffered crazy hdd activity after a couple minutes of play,
    my system Specs
    Acer Predator 17 G9-791
    Intel I5-6300HQ
    Nvidia 970M 3Gig 1080p resolution 397.31 driver ver
24Gig system memory 2133mhz dual channel
Windows 10 Home Build 1709 (not updating to 1803 as the new version has issues with laptop with a number of games)
if I don't kill the game quickly its locks up my pc forcing me to turn it off at first I thought it was superfetch so I disabled that service but that didn't work is there any other tips people can give me,I did up the graphics from rare to legendary with exception of the shadows with I left it as it set it, can the graphics settings cause this or is it something as I would like to play this game as I finished downloading early this morning.
Fps is on average of 60.

  • @eggamer13 Hi I have submitted as suggested still I would like any useful tips for fixing this issue.
Edit ok issue has been forwarded to the dev team now along with the extra info they requested. I give kudos to the support team with on how fast they responded to my issue and now its a waiting game.

  • After further testing I have found the problem as it was Game DVR background video recording was the culprit as the service was had consumed the system memory resulting in the game file swapping like crazy resulting in the problem I mentioned in the first post and turning the settings related to it fixed it, so if anyone has this problem follow these steps
    1: Go to your settings
    2: Click the Gaming Button
    3: Click The Game DVR
4: Turn off anything related to background recording
I hope this will help anyone else suffering this issue like I have.
