I found Black Flag to my liking and paid merely €9 for it. Jurassic World Evolution looks very interesting since Theme Park was published and CardLife is the next mantle bearer of Minecraft in the horison so looks like there is still hope in the frontlines.
What comes to SoT, there's still time for devs to change its direction. I just don't like waiting the series of miracles needed for it. Feels very odd to see all these other beautiful and brilliant products with revolving services around them thrive while the one thing you rooted for, one of the best ones, starts its journey by crawling. We don't need much else to question the development plan, but... At least the potential is clearly there. My estimate is that giving it another 2 maybe 3 years more time in development may yield more stable platform.
While one ship goes down, many others set sail from the harbour.
Except that alot of people including myself, wont wait a couple years for a product that was already sold and marketed as complete, thats the issue.
I'm sure the devs have taken notes from the feedback given when it comes to lacking, incomplete and unpolished products. However, it doesn't make the game any more whole than it already is so we can leave that aside now. The game sadly doesn't evolve based on our pace of feedback so meanwhile the game is developed further, it would be better to go out and do something more important, whatever that may be.
The good news is that the game isn't going anywhere and it won't go down anytime soon unless Microsoft wants to shame the 'games as service' practise in its current tracks by pulling the plug from a server access to a hype-drained software that a lot of customers bought with the ridiculous $60 price tag. That would be an equivalent or worse scandal than EA doing the micro-gambling approach, intentional or not.
Go do what you do best and return here later. Hopefully we get a better deal then than we got now.
