rowboats this season. what the heck

    not even sure what the heck im doing with my life right now but setting sail on a ship with an old non keg row boat then leaving and setting sail on a ship with no row boat just so i can HOPEFULLY spawn at the outpost my normal rowboat will be at... why cant we buy rowboats?!?!?

    @burnbacon No, they're just sick of the Reaper rowboats xD And wants to be able to just buy the one they like from the dock. Not a bad suggestion, tbh. Game could always use better money sinks besides clothes. "Tools" like Rowboats, spears, etc, are good stuff.

    Totally agree row boats should be a buyable cosmetic for your ship. One more element we can "design" for our pirate vibe.

    I will say - those reaper rowboats combined with the black kegs - have led to some very short naval battles. It seems a LOT of crews are holding onto both of these items simultaneously.

    When we already have the ability to dock a rowboat and keep it for the next session, it really doesn't seem like buying one would pose any balance issues.

    So, yeah, I don't see any real issue with this suggestion.

    And, yes, having only Reaper Rowboats this season is a bit annoying.

    It was a poor decision to make every rowboat this season into a bomb. If you want to do anything regarding rowboats you are required to carry a keg. I love the return of the keg rowie but we don't need all of them to be bombs

    I have been suggesting this forever, not only would it be nice to choose what rowboat you want I think they can give an advantage in hourglass and because you can dive with them I feel they should be available to buy from the outpost or better yet part of the shipwright customisation options and respawn with your ship, I'd like to see a green/ghost re skin of the reaper rowboat too for us athena fans, all other items you can dive with are available at outposts why not rowboats?

    100%! I really thought when coloured rowboats and ones with diferent attchments were being added we would eventually see them as Shipwright items.

    Would be a good gold sink... and only as useful as storage crates are.

    @musicmee It would be nice but I feel like people would use harpoon rowboats to exploit even more. As it stands right now, a lot of bug fixes aren't super necessary because of the rarity of harpoon rowies. It would cause a lot of pain points if people had on demand access to harpoon rowies, since there would be so many more glitch spots that would be exploited.

    There is also one rowboat available "on demand" no matter what. In the pirates life tall tale, however it is a normal rowie.
