The skeleton ships that randomly pop up needs to be done something about, i was in a solo sloop, and i had one chase me for 3 hours non stop, it wouldnt disappear close to islands, forts, outposts. It kept nonstop spamming jigballs, if i tried to outrun it it seemd like it deployed NOS. I had tons of loot so i didnt want to scuttle or relog to get rid of it, in the end i was out of bananas, cannonballs and planks. So it sank me. Really fun mechanic Rare, especially for solo sloops. 3 hours of gameplay that yielded absolutely nothing, because of broken mechanics
They need to do something about those skeleton ships
@bjapnus I also solo slooped the last days, and it was fine, just get supplies at the beginning of your session...I start voyaging just when I got at least 80 bananas/planks and 150+ cannonballs
When you have a cursed cannonball for the anchor or the sails, use that if you don't want to fight the ships, after that you should have enough space between you and the skeletons to get awayEdit: 3 hours hunted by a skeleton ship? I don't believe that, they leave before that
@bjapnus If you had that much loot, did you have a rowboat? After initially stocking my boat, before I lay down any quests, I go out and find a row boat (and obviously continue stocking my boat). If you end up getting a situation like yours, as you are fleeing, fill the rowboat with your loot. Same thing goes for any encounter with the kraken. If after a while, you clearly are not getting away from the skelly ships, then get close to an outpost, set the ship to continue to sail, get into the rowboat and row over to the outpost. Sell, and start over. You can even store supplies from your boat into the storage on the rowboat. I generally at minimum store 10 or more bananas in the rowboat, for those close escapes.
