    Curious what everyone's setups are, how they feel about them, and any issues that arise?

    I run an xb1x, 65" 4k (non-HDR) edge-lit LED. (was on sale lol). Now, this TV has a worse quality than my backlit 240hz 3d TV from 10yrs ago; the edgelit surely plays a huge part in this, horrible darks. Shopping for a new TV atm, my edge lights are burning out.

    A few HDR vids on YouTube show a green hue with HDR enabled, does this still happen? Unsure if cured with updates.

    Anyone with PC builds please post, I'm building one in a few months.

    Just my thoughts, but Samsung have some really nice ones ATM. Go for either 8 series or 9 series(if u got the spare$$$).Even the boot time and menu overlays are super fast compared to el cheapo TVs. I've had a few brands over the last few years, but samsung and SOME panasonics are beautiful to look at, especially in 4K. Just dont trust the demo videos playing in the shop, they are misleading. Ask to watch a blu ray or football match on the units you like. This will give a good representation of what it will look like at home But if ur building a rig, theres plenty of good gaming monitor.

    Ooooo im interested in this also as im upgrading my graphics card to a Nvidia RTX 2070 when they come out.

    My current pc build is:
    ASUS B350-F Strix Gaming motherboard
    AMD Ryzen 5 1600 overclocked to 3.3ghz
    16gb (4 x 4gb) 2400mhz Kingston HyperX
    256gb Intel 760p M.2 NvME SSD
    Asus Strix GTX-960 4gb

    I run all settings in common at 1080p running pretty smooth at 60fps on a 55" Hisense N7 Series.

    Plus a couple of acer monitors, one 144hz and one 60hz but both are 1440p it's a great setup if not a bit OP :P

    @mc-rossco very nice! I want a nearly over-kill pc, see what high end FPS is like. From what I understand, 4k really drops it down. Something to use when I dont have access to my TV and to get more acquainted with PC gaming and VR...not to mention flight simulators...which let's be honest, will never truly exist on console.

    @PomalotacusMk3 I also love Samsung, haven't steered me wrong until my current TV. I figured being newer it would have a better image...steer clear of edge--lit! Samsung has a lot of TV options for sure, let alone picture settings that can dramatically alter your viewing experience.

    @Slave2theSAvE Your 55" TV works will with PC input? Last I tried, it looked like garbage...it was a longtime ago mind you lol

    It's taken me 2 iterations for the tower and about 10 years of fortnightly payments that I put a portion aside to get to that point and I still have a few more things in mind for it when things are a little cheaper and I have more funds saved up for them.

    I used to have a TV in the setup as seen in some of the images in the album linked there but I got rid of it since the "smart" features were getting on my nerves especially after LG stopped supporting it so found a replacement that had a really nice screen to replace it in the second hand market here.

    In regards to performance with this game really the only places where I get dips is larger islands like Theives Haven, Plunder Valley and Old Faithful which would more than likely be due to the increase in geometry over the rest of the islands on the map, anything else is really ping based dependent on if I am connecting to a US, UK, EU or AUS server session at the time.

    Expect around GTX 1080 performance with non RTX features enabled in games that support them with that card, I would personally hold off for another 1-1.5 years and skip this generation in the mean time to let this new tech mature. You might be able to find a 1060 (recommend the 6GB model for these) or 1070 to use in the mean time.

    Funny enough it was called The Batcave / The Batcomputer by a few other people that I shared it out to so I have been using that name for it on and off lol

    @violentandroid Yeah it works great at 1080p via HDMI, very happy with the performance. Maybe things have improved over the years. I also have a Samsung 8 series i hook up to and it looks even better on that, though my Hisense is in my bedroom where i play most.

    @TH3xR34P3R i was also looking at a GTX1070ti before i decided on the RTX, i think i might have to rethink it before they release. Thanks for the feedback

    7-year-old i5 2500K paired with a 4-year-old GTX 970 here, sync set to fast so I don't get locked at measly 60fps. SSD is a must for Sea of Thieves ofc since no-one wants to wait 30 seconds to respawn. Runs pretty nice now after all the performance patches I must say.

    sometimes i play on my 55" LG TV. I would recommand Samsung and LG they have decent TV's

    Game drops frames on big islands, stutters and eventually crashes after some hours of playing.
    Will upgrade to the 8700k soon anyways.

    Gear wise
    Gpro @ 800 dpi, 1.5 ingame sensitivity (around 25-30cm/360)
    Fps alloy with cherry mx blues (also use my old quickfire with brown switches from time to time)
    I also use a hard pad.

    In all honesty I’m on an XB1X for the most part, on a beautiful 4K OLED tv. The graphics and art style really shine in 4K!

    My setup:
    i7 6700k (stock at 4.2ghz, will OC one day)
    16 gb 3200mhz g.skill (8x2)
    EVGA 1080 Ti Founders Edition 12gb

    I crank it all to mythical and run it on my 27" 144hz Lenovo GSync curved display. I typically average between 100-144 fps, the lower end on busier islands.

    Peripherals are a Corsair K95 with the cherry speeds, Logitech G502 mouse, and the Corsair VOID Pro headset. Oh yeah, the MM800 mouse pad just because.

    I'm going to be replacing that card with a 2080 Ti founders, already on a short list for one, and I'm considering a new CPU even though I haven't found a need to OC mine yet. I see some comments on performance of that card, which I find a little amusing considering the lack of benchmarks and NDA's covering anyone who has really run them. In any case, I prefer having the leading GPU and money is no concern so I might as well.

    @haydensolo Yes I know and SoT doesn’t have Ray Tracing, I’m aware, just future proofing in that sense. But the new range of cards are still going to be more powerful than the current range. I want new toys!!

    @drunkpunk138 I see a lot of Hz reference on gaming monitors, does this make a huge difference in gameplay?

    In respect to televisions, the 240hz range is required for 3d...but unaware which hz level for pc is considered the golden range?

    @violentandroid So a 60hz screen can only display 60 fps, a 144hz screen can display 144fps if your gpu is capable of it.

    i had everything running thru my sony muteki amp(quite the beast, 7.2 surround sound without paying thousands) but its 7 years old and no 4k hdr support. It looked good. Re-wired everything straight to the TV, then audio bypass from TV to amp. Looks amazing now, and running hdr doesnt create lag/delay like older models did. TV is samsungUA55KS8000.

    I've actually moved my rig from the bedroom, to the living room. The TV in the living room is larger, but it's really just an old piece of 52" junk/space heater (Maxent). My dual monitors aren't twins either, but they're close enough - HP w185e and a Compaq S1922a. I picked them up dirt cheap a few years ago, along with a dvd drive, to finalize this build.

    ....and have had very few problems at all with running the game on mythical settings.

    I have TCL p series which is pretty much just like their current 6 series. It is decent and would be the bare minimum for HDR. I would go with something with more nits like an OLED if you can afford it.

    Rare really needs to add a brightness/HDR setting to this game. HDR is way too dark on this set.

    It absolutely makes a difference. I honestly doubted that myself until I got a 144hz monitor. The difference between 60 and 144 fps is simply amazing. It's such a smooth framerate, you'll have a very hard time going back once you play something in 144hz. I'd say anything at 120hz or higher is the golden range, although above 144hz there isn't a noticeable enough difference.

    I am on a Xbox One X with a 65 inch LG 4K OLED tv. 5.1 surround with Sony front and center speakers and Bose rear speakers. One of these days, maybe will build a PC, but for now this will have to do.

    Y'all can't handle my setup. But, you asked........

    My computer is black. It has a window in the side and everything inside of it lights up with blue lights. It's very nice. That cool blue provides incredible speeds reaching nearly Matrix levels.

    My keyboard and mouse are black with red trim. The keyboard lights up with red lights while the mouse actually changes colors. Not that I see the light from the mouse because my hand is covering it, but it clearly provides me an advantage over you n00bs.

    My monitor was something my son had in the top of his closet for a long period of time. The time it spent up there allowed it to fester and stew and when I hooked it up, its rage came forth and provides me with the ability to view all gaming worlds in 360 degrees. Clearly another advantage.

    My son is on my case about buying a curved monitor like he recently hooked to his system. It's pretty sweet looking, to be sure. It better have a turbo option because I have the serious when it comes to my advantages when I mash buttons.
