Fish just kept cooking and burning, and I couldn't pick it up. There was no X button prompt to let me grab it. Therefore couldn't put other food down and had to reboot. This was the first fish I caught after installing the update.
BUG. The first fish I caught, I put it on the stove, then couldn't pick it up. Had to reboot.
@tundra-793 almost guarantee that the inventory was full. I feel like there needs to be a small blip of text that says inventory full now that we’re going to picking things up from the floor more often. The barrels indicate pretty easily that the inventory is full.

George , what are you asking , have you lost all yer marbles? * Whahaaahaaa, that you even ask that question, you knew the answer all along , of course he's cookoo, he always been as crazy as a bat!!!), No ,wait , i mean have you tried to kill yerself in the game , come back and maybe then everything works again....These things sometimes happen after a Servermerge , but just a killing of yerself , respawn and mostly all things can be used or picked up again...@tedakin its because you had the full amount of food stuffs already in your inventory.
Source: I did the same thing today and was about to log before I checked my inv. I felt foolish.
