do megs difficulty scale up with the rarity of the meg?

I dont know if they ever confirmed that, but it does seem like some have different attitudes.

@man-o-war-meche well to me it feels like its just random, i have had a green one act the same as a black one, and watevery. to me i think the meg is given an attitude, then a rarity and then is spawned you know what i mean, i dont think its that the rarity does anything. but im not 100 percent sure

Sounds about right, same goes with the Kraken. Sometimes its feels impossible to beat, and other times you smack it a few times and it goes away.

I agree that it feels random, not by type specifically.

We have encountered the Ancient Terror a few times, the first seemed to be quite aggressive and put 4-5 holes per bit where the last one was more tame and didn't seem to put more than 2 holes per bit.

This was on a Brig each time, so can't say whether they scale like a Kraken.

@man-o-war-meche the kraken scales in difficulty with the ships, with the sloop you only need to kill 3 arms, with everything else i think its 8 arms

@archangel-timmy thats how my experience has been, all megs seem the same to me. i think they all are the same only some spawn with yellow skin or blue skin, but how difficult they are and the way they act like dipping under water, speeding up or slowing down is random

I liked the Ancient one, he did seem to put 4 holes in each bite.

@d4m0r3d I have noticed 0 difference, but they do seem to die faster if you're on a smaller ship.

Can anyone give me an aproximate number of cannonballs needed to defeat the megs?

Been away from the game since the Hungering Deep event, and my guess is I wont need 2 ships to do it anymore. It will really help me to know when I have a chance and when not, I wont waste all my cannonballs for nothing if they are not enough.
