You should bring fishing to sea of thieves because there isn't much to do while roaming around the sea's until you bring fishing a lot of people want to see this in sea of thieves it would be a fun thing to do just sitting on the side of your ship with your friends or by yourself and trying to catch different types of fish while on the way to a quest or waypoint or just sitting still doing nothing then there's cooking you should add cooking to sea of thieves because it would be a fun time consuming thing like you could cook different foods for health while on the way to a quest or making it and you guys could add like a table and chairs in the galleon for you and your friends to sit and eat at because what's the point of a stove in the galleon if it can't be used so rare please think about adding these into sea of thieves
Fishing and cooking
I'm all for the fishing, as I do in real life. My only issue is, nobody has answered the very first question you should ask.
What do you want to do with it? - Now before I get flamed, I mean if you want to eat it, that means being able to cook it. Now are you going to have to design cooking as well, and that takes precedent as you cannot have only fish needing to be cooked. Which mean more food sources.
So a simple request like fishing instantly opens up a whole debate to be had on balancing that.
Now if you said I want fishing to be able to do "something" during long voyages. I would say card/board games with your crew is a better to do it.
I always see the statement about how everyone has nothing to do in the "down time" - how they heck do you guys ever have any down time in this game?!?! I must be doing something wrong :)
But that said, I love me some fishing. But in Sea of Thieves, it will have to be something very specific and in keeping with the pirate theme. Pirates aren't "fisherman" but I am sure some pirates fish.
It's possible that "size matters" does plan a fun role in the whole thing... so you don't necessarily need fish for eating (no cooking needed) but purely as sport.
A new trading company could exist for this, and they could have commendations that award cosmetics (such as fishing poles, or trophy fish to hang on the interior walls of your ship!)
I do hope we get fishing, but I also want it to feel like it fits. I trust Rare.
