Im a patient person but every time I need to leave the ferry or use a mermaid I feel like quitting.
This is getting worse. 30+ second gap between catching a mermaid and spawning is killing me. I don’t even get a chance to compete anymore, by the time I spawn the fight is over and the ship is gone. Lame!!!
Meanwhile I watch PC streamers spawn nearly instantly. Less than 1 second every time. Such a punch in the groin.
Do I need a new PC or can we get on top of this in 2019?

PC players don't spawn instantly; they wait for 30 seconds just like everybody else. Also, the whole you're too late and sunk as a result thing? That's kinda the point. Furthermore, you're not dying.
you speak from first hand experience I take it ?? because in the morning when I solo my morning fort.. If I die I spend my time on ferry of damned then spend average 1:10 on black screen .. I say average as sometimes its 45 seconds and sometimes its 1:min 30 seconds .. on the pc its around 10 seconds maybe from ferry to deckc of boat , it is 100% an issue RARE needs to look at

@p0pc0rnh3mer01d I run 6mbps down and 1mbps up on my XB1X and said black screen only lasts an additional 5 seconds or so. Have you tried using a SSD? I hear they drastically improve load times. 🤔
50 down 10 up .. no ssd. yes like pubg load times will be better with one but it should NOT be required to not spend over a minute in a black screen
@blownboats That issue is probably server side. Are you soloing?
I know from personal tested experiments that XboX One X doesn't have a problem with loading from the ferry or mermaid.
This is more than likely server side because even with my 3k PC rig I sometimes get the black screen when loading into from ferry or mermaid.
The only console to actually have an issue is with the regular XboX One console.
