Sometimes the row boat I'm using works really well and sometimes seems very unresponsive.
Is it supposed to be this way? Anyone else have this problem,m
Row boats
Yeah but it's never been too much of a hinderance. I did experience a glitch once where the row boat started twitching. When used the oars I would be seated through the base of the row boat, getting myself stuck. Then, once I tried leaving the row boat, I'd get launched to the bottom of the sea in a flash.
Do you row with a constant pace, letting the oars get back to their resting position before starting another stroke?
If you, say, turn right and don't let both oars get back to their resting position before making another stroke, the boat will turn left just as quickly again.
I do have some problems sometimes, but only when an island is not loaded yet and the game is struggeling.

Is it supposed to be this way? Anyone else have this problem,mOnly if I row too fast, you have to let your hands go back into start position, you can't spam it. If you are doing this and you still have issues, maybe it's a latency thing.
I had problems with the rowboat controls in the beginning. But with lots of practice I've been getting better.
I find getting in and out of the boat, sitting and standing, placing and removing items, etc, a bit awkward and wonky at times, and have died when in a hurry, as a result of not aiming precisely at an item, or a seat...
but again... Practice.
