So my game has been working perfectly until i installed the new patch. Now sometimes i get a black screen forever on launch, but i can get all the way to "Enlisting Pirate" now, and it just goes forever.

I'm sure one of our more tech savvy pirates can probably offer some more specific advice, but honestly every time there is a patch that adds something to the game, its a little screwy for that first day. I would say give it a little bit and restart whatever platform your using and try and load in again. I tend to battle xbox live or the game itself every patch day, but usually gets better the next day.
@bjapnus Make sure the patch downloaded as well as sometimes (for me anyway) I've had to go into the microsoft store and initiate the download. Usually that would give you mismatched version error, but its worth checking still. Other than that hopefully doesn't require a reinstall.

From what I remember the local account option seems to work for most people, but we'd definitely recommend submitting a ticket so the team are aware of the issue and it can be logged.
