I love this game, but ever since the alpha I have seen one thing... all the ships are the same hull within each class. In the art book (I believe) theres a much better looking galleon, and with the cursed cannon that Wanda broke up, We can guess there will be sets for ships other than paint and figureheads. And with that... I do think adding variants of hulls on each type of ship would be best. The barrels and floor plan would be the same... generally speaking, maybe sole variation to keep up with the theme. Basically, more variation between ships.

It's called early concept art. The ships have detailed wireframe hitmodels as opposed to the pill people the players are made of. So changing hulls would mean there's an advantage or disatvantage to a certain hull model's hitbox.
besides that I don't really see a difference with what we have in game.
@hynieth Well with what you said, that's kinda not what I meant. When it comes to ship hulls, again, the size and floor plan should be generally the same. How ever there could be a new captain's quarter and break heads, which only affects the back and front of the main deck.

@weedstar-deluxe Nobody has said that yet matey... Then only thing confirmed for microtransactions so far are pets.
I saw an interview with Mike Chapman where he said ship customization will also be available on microtransactions. He specifically mentioned cannons as an example, unfortunately, I can't find the source (so many articles to look through)
