Nerf Sniper at close range

  • Sniper shouldn't be used in close combat. There are a lot of ways to do this.

    Examples:
    -Divert the bulled randomly if you are not using the sight (obviously using it more than 0.0001s, otherwise people would use exactly like now pressing fist the telescopic sight button). It is absurd that someone can perfectly shoot to the center without using the telescopic sight.

    -Reduce the damage of the bullet at close range (this would have no sense in real world, but an easy solution in game).

  • well I must say I kinda agree.
    Every gun has it's own specialties.

    Flintlock: Stable from every distance 50% dmg
    Sword: Ownage at short distance
    Blunderbuss: An well aimed shot from point blank 100% dmg. everything further away than that, sucks
    Eye of Reach: Far range 75% dmg, close range 75% dmg

    So the sniper is kinda like a flintlock but with scope and 75% dmg.

    I often get killed in PVP while someone shoots you with a sniper from really close (without even aiming) and hitting you ONCE with a sword. I believe something should be done about close range snipering. Either nerf the damage, or make it harder to hit without scoping.

  • Hi, I think the same as you.

    Lately more and more people kill me with the sniper up close, and this is because it is very easy to do quickscope or even shoot hip.

    In my opinion they should do or what you say to decrease the damage of the weapon closely or make it not so easy to shoot up close.

    Even if they do some kind of nerf, they could make the bullet fall less at a medium distance.

    Yeha, with 50% still they could make double shoot (sniper + pistol -> 50 + 50 = 100)
