As we were attempting to do accommodations at an active fort, we were thrilled to see another galleon rolling up. Surely they would help us!
So, as they sail closer, I decide to utilize my fancy new speaking trumpet and serenade them with a friendly "welcome to the fort" song.
And what better than the Styx, "Come Sail Away"?
I guess they were not amused. They fired, a battle ensued, they sank, we continued to blow up skellies.
Then they returned. So, once again, I figured music soothes the soul. They clearly weren't fans of classic rock, so I threw on some Brittney Spears. This also was not to their liking.
I do find it ironic that, as they were once again disappearing beneath the waves, we were belting with Brit "oops, I did it again."
Back to the skellies. Until a sloop rolls up. We invite him to hang out, get some accommodations, and enjoy the sweet sounds of the Styx. He was overjoyed! He even kept watch for the tasteless galleon.
After we were done, we grabbed the stronghold skull and chest for ourselves, loaded up his sloop with the rest (which he was beyond surprised and grateful for... he was fantastic) and went our merry ways.
We could have been wary and fired on the sloop from the get go, but we didn't. And we all got an awesome experience from it.
Lesson being.... not everyone enjoys the music. But there are many that do. Don't lose hope in finding them!
Oh, and if the galleon had returned....I was totally ready to Rick Roll them!
