Three new cursed chests
I feel like five cursed chests (in total), would be a good amount for Sea of Thieves (I'm obviously counting the two cursed chests already in the game). But before I start I want to add some enhancements to the two cursed chests currently in the game; Chest of sorrow and Chest of a Thousand Grogs.
- The Chest of Sorrow
The chest of sorrow is fun but I feel as if it needs a little flair to make the journey to the outpost more exciting. If the chest of sorrow cries it will fill your boat with water (Like before) AND! Make a mini storm around the ship. This mini storm would act as a regular storm but would be smaller in size and would only form when the chest cries. This storm would affect the ship it is on and will stretch two islands in distance (So other players would also be affected). Once you sell the chest the mini storm with dissipate.
- The Chest of a Thousand Grogs
The chest is awesome the way it is.
- The Chest of Monsters:
This chest was supposedly in the Sea of Thieves Comic (But never read it) and was supposed to have some sort of purple face coming out of the chest. I might get the effects wrong but hopefully I explain it right. Ok, so this chest, once found, will start to scream. The chest will scream but the scream will be in a low pitch. Once the chest goes into water (Or once water makes contact with the chest), the chest will have a purple face pop out. This chest will then scream in a high pitch. Once you leave the island and put this cursed chest on board your ship, the chest will continue to scream loudly. The screams from the chest will then eventually spawn a random sea monster to your ship. And from there it's going to be a bad time.
- The Chest of Jesters
The chest of Jesters was a concept art created by Wackadoodledoo. This chest of Jesters, as described on twitter, is a strange looking Jester chest that does nothing at first. Once you board it on your ship and set sail to your next destination the chest's eyes will start glowing pink. Once the Jester's eyes glow pink a manifestation of the Jester will spawn on your ship. This manifestation will start to cause mischief on your boat. For example, it can anchor your ship, fire your cannons, turn your lanterns on or off, change your sails...ect. This Jester can be destroyed by finding it and hitting it a few times with a sword. But just keep in mind that the chest can make more manifestations in the near future.
- The Chest of Mimic
I personally added this one, due to it being to cool to ignore. This chest would be a chest with teeth and a mouth. Once you dig up a mimic chest, the chest would either run away from you (and hide somewhere) or attack your leg with a biting animation. If you try to pick it up like a normal chest it will bite you and start to wiggle away, so be careful. In order to successfully put it on your ship you need to first play music for it so it is calm enough to pick up; again, be careful! As it will only be calm for a limited time. Once on your ship you will need to play music in order to keep it from attacking the crew or jumping into the water.
