Wow man, i'm also from that time. But today people have other standards, today people think its normal for a game to be released with so many bugs, they even defend and justify such bad development behavior. Guess i'm getting old.

Back in the day, Broken Games were claimed "finished" and didn't get the opportunity to be fixed and patched. I have played many games in my lifetime, especially games that have a huge multiplayer aspect. If you played any MMO, which this essentially is despite the small server size, you would know that updates are needed. Do I feel they should bring back the Pioneer Server to test the patches ahead of time? Sure. But that doesn't mean I don't appreciate how much Rare is listening to the community and working to fix the problems as they arise.

Give a loading message with stats on hiw many peoplw have crashed recently.....something with:
"We are experiencing server issues and your game might be disconnected before your loot gets turned in... you will be SOL!"So that way i can decide if i want to play or wait till update is fixed.

If you want compensation, then do what 3 of my mates did - refund the game and then play for free!
Just make a new xbox account at the end of each trial period.The only reason you wouldn't, is progression, yet so many people here say that progression isn't what the game's about, but rather each voyage and the story you get to tell.
Tell that story for free!
Also, it's not like there's any real point to keeping on with levelling up - you get a slightly modified rhyme from the tavern guy, and a few recolours.

I’ll be the middle ground lol, I enjoy playing this game with my crew most days, however the absolute c*********k that was yesterday has put me off playing for a while. I’m a s.o.t fanboy I guess, but I’m waiting for all the bugs to be ironed out and for them to put the new features back in before I resume my adventures. No I don’t think rare should offer me and everyone else a gold plated x box one x because of a few hours annoyance, but yeah maybe a double xp weekend or something similar? I’m sure someone at rare got paid a lot of overtime trying to sort this all out it’s not like they will leave it broken when they’ve clearly put so much of their souls into the game so far.

so far today i've lost 4 groggs 1 sorrow 50 marauders 30 captains chests. no point logging back in till its fixed been disconnected 4 times maybe 4 hrs of grinding wasted

So many people defending what has been happening. Put Crew got 4 Disconnects yesterday. We did legendary voyages for athenas rep and couldnt finish one at all.
Yeah other games have these Bugs too. But they will give u Compensation for the time lost. WoW gave u free Access to the game for a few Days to a week. CoD or BF give u Double xp weekends and other games give u free items.
SoT should just give us a double XP and Gold weekend. Friday to sunday and everyone would be happy. And it didnt cost more than 30 mins for them to implement.
