Chest Prices and Voyages

  • I am going to start with this. I am all for chests not having a set value and fluxing in price. A chest would be worth more if you broke into it and it was heaping with gold VS breaking in and finding it about half filled. And for the most part (excluding a few times where my Captains chest had a really low turn in rate) I think the current chest prices are fair.
However, I think that the Chest of Sorrow and Chest of a Thousand Grogs need to be bumped up in value a bit. I have sold Captain's Chests for more than what I got for the 3 I have turned in (2 Sorrow and 1 Grog) and for the rarity of these chests, I think they are a bit undervalued. I'm not saying go crazy and make them worth 20,000g a piece but maybe a min of 1,300g even (I think I sold my 2nd Sorrow for just over 700g.) Also, I think the Sorrow should be worth more than Grog. Grog makes you all wonky legged sure, but Sorrow has the potential to sink your dang boat!

Also, voyages should award some sort of rep amount for completing them as well... that is really all I have to say about that part just don't know who said "let's not give them any incentive to finish the entire voyage" and thought that was a good idea.

  • @yogondo Agreed!

  • The specialty chests should sell for a lot more. Don't get me wrong im still going to turn them in but they should be more valuable just based off their rarity, the quirkiness of them is just fun bit of strategy and hijinx.
