Rare said they dramatically increased respawn distance but after a 2 and a half hour session just now that didn't seem to be the case. Has anyone noticed a difference?
Respawns don't seem any different?
@horology420 Literally just happened, sank a solo sloop 3 times, he keeps coming back and we're low on resources. Sinks us as we sink him, both of us arrive at the fort same time now, sink each other again and then had to log off. I was hoping that this patch would fix it, but I'm starting to lose faith in that.

I noticed. We were on the way to a raid when the cloud disappeared. we opted for intercepting course to one of the two nearest outposts in the region and were lucky that the galleon opted for the same outpost. after trading blows our ship sank. we spawned about the same distance as before on a small island.
The outpost in question was Galleons Grave Outpost, the raid was at Shark Fin Camp, we died east of galleons grave and spawned at blind mans lagoon. last week we died and our ship sunk at shark fin camp and we spawned at galleons grave. its the same distance. Rare pls
lucky for us, the galleon sank as well and we were able to pick up some treasure from the sea, they had already safed and turned in the fort chest and skull but it was a nice compensation.@coyote4711 Yep. Fight was at Keel Haul, respawning at Smuggler's Bay. That isn't an increase, that's exactly the same as before. I was wondering how the other guy was getting back to us so quickly, and when we finally both sank and we popped at Smuggler's Bay it was like "oh...well that explains a lot".
Could be. From some of the comments in other threads, I almost wonder if the distance is randomized a bit.
