strange fps dips and maybe Gsync issue?

  • So I have been playing all the tests of the game sins Alpha and everything has worked great so far, then the other day I manged to f**k something up when I was mixing thing on my soundcard and I did end up reinstall the drivers, And after that i did get 1 huge lock on my computer when I was playing the game and I started to change the settings back and forth ingame Im allways running on 1440p Mythical and im using a
    I7 2600k cpu @4.6ghz and
    EVGA 1080TI
    16 gigs ram @2000 hz
and last a installed the game on SSD and last a 144hz Gsync monitor.
Now to my problem, before I did all of this I feelt like there was no issue at all and I capped the fps to 120 Vsync off, and now I feel like everytime i come close to places like Thieves heaven or almost all the outposts my fps drops to 70 to 80 I think it had the same fps before aswell when I was on thoes places, but it feelt smoother then it does now.
So anyone got an idea on what could off happend or how to fix it? Gsync according to the monitor is working.

  • Why cap the fps with gsync?

I have no fps cap, vsync off, and my gsync with 1060 is working okay, not stuttering at all.

  • @mubhcaeb78 i cap the fps to 120 cuz I don't need all that extra juice, saves some lifetime and the fans on the cards don't have to go as high when it's not pushing out 100%.
my issue would not be so strange, im fine if the fps dips abit but it just feels wrong compared to how it was before when it dips down.

  • Also no matter if i change to 540p or lower my settings the fps still remains the same thats also abit strange to me.
I also might add im running multiple screen setup. Maybe that also makes something happend, tho I did run it like that before aswell with no issues..

  • I wonder if it is the fps cap though. Try without it a bit.
