Me and my roommate are trying to play this together, but it just wont work. We can both play solo, or with random groups, both our xbox apps say that NAT is open.
When we try to invite each other through xbox app, it fails with trimmedbeard error.
Help?

I have the same issue, and cant play with my friend. We cant join each other because of trimmedbeard error, which is not even mentioned in error list: https://support.seaofthieves.com/hc/en-gb/articles/115005299167-Beard-Errors

Check you NAT type on both ends.
did you read the first post? nat on both ends IS open.
My girlfriend and I have the same issue. I have submitted a bug to Rare with a generic response email and no follow up. We usually have to get a friend to start a game with one of us and then constantly invite until it finally accepts. Even then disconnects are frequent which involves restarting the whole process. We are both on the same network. I'm wired, her wireless. Both port forwarded with open NAT on seperate ports and no issues except for with SoT.
