Parrot Pet: Can we have it mimic certain phrases if we say them on the mic?

    So this might be a bit of a technical challenge, although speech to text and recognition has come a long way.

    While watching some youtube videos talking about pets in sea of thieves it got me thinking, if we had a parrot pet, it would be hilarious if it randomly would mimic certain things the owner said on their in game mic. Obviously it couldnt mimic everything and you wouldnt want it to, but lets say every time you said "drop the anchor" or said any kind of set phrase, it would repeat it. Lets say anytime it recognized the word "brig" it would squawk "RAAWH lock him in the brig!" I can think of all kinds of things that would be hilarious to hear a parrot repeat. As a joke every time you said "raise the anchor" it could scream out the opposite "RAAWH lower the anchor" No! NO! you stupid bird!

    What do you guys think?

    I would love this, but... Too many pirates parrots may spew hateful language based on some others forum posts. Maybe the parrot has a few pirate sayings, but nothing recorded from the players.

    @Meingott77 really like this! But it may be easier to have him copy the non-verbal communications you can select from the wheel? Seems more do-able imo.

    yea thats exactly what I was thinking, that and it would be unfeasible for them to create a total voice modulator for a parrot.

    But some key phrases would be awesome, and up to RARE to approve.

    I'd definitely pay for a parrot that did that.

    I like the idea through, that can be very funny.

    Interesting idea, but it's a big challenge technically. I don't think that the time needed to develop it would worth the gain at all. Typically, this kind of feature stays in devs backlog forever :x

    That will never happen. Though I do see them probably adding a preset amount of phrases. Never custom phrases though

    yea, the key thing is that it would only trigger certain phrases. I just think it would be really cool if it had some sort of interaction with player mics. Saying certain words on your mic would trigger the parrot to say a phrase related to what you were talking about.

    yea they wouldnt be custom, but it would really be awesome if key words spoken on the mic could trigger your parrot to speak.

    Make it say the phrases that you use the most on the In-game phrase wheel. Cause then people might start using it more.... Like when you are leaving and you say "Lower the sails" the parrot can say in a short repeat "Lower the sails, Lower the sails!"

    Then people would so use the Wheel more... and since it has diffrent sayings when holding diffrent things it could be really fun.

    Hold the compas and say North like a whole bunch with the parrot close it will learn it... Problem is later when you hold the compas and Say South east the parrot screems " North, North, Go North!" :P

    Yeah and that would be fine as long as they were still preset phrases. Nothing wrong with triggering the parrot to talk in my opinion
