Really embarrassing question but I can even figure out how to dig in this game because I don't have a shovel. I can't seem to figure out how to take it from my equipment chest and equip it to my wheel. Any help would be much obliged!

In your equipment chest make sure the shovel is highlighted green... your shovel will then turn in to the one you have highlighted in the chest.
I appreciate the replies but still clueless.
I open the chest 'F' and I have my selections...all, bucket, compass.......shovel, stein. I click on shovel, its there, but I don't see a way to highlight it "green' when ever I mouse over it gets a white border but then when I mouse off its gone. Am I supposed to be able to select it?
@sawlstone I see how it highlights green in other chests like the vanity (backgrounds turn green) but in my equipment chest, everything has a greenback ground
