I know this is a minor thing, but does it bother anyhow how the camera is fixed while sailing on the wheel? Sometimes id rather just get off the wheel and stand beside it where you can see the ship going up and down. Just a thought

Well it's a first person game, so your view is always from a point just above your neck. :P
Do you mean you'd like a 3rd person view? If so I think that would ruin the immersion and would lessen the need to rely on your crew mates to guide you.
As you point out yourself though, you don't need to be on the wheel 100% of the time, so it is sometimes nice to step to one side to admire the view, or to look around the sails. :)
@dark-shadow9056 I do just that! Sometimes I run around and adjust sails as well, especially when I know there's a decent amount of open water in front of me!

When you’re on the wheel of the ship, your camera, or “head” doesn’t move on it’s own. As in, if the ship goes up a wave, your “head”goes with it. As if the camera is fixed onto the ship.I’m sorry this is really hard to explain haha
@dark-shadow9056 I know what you mean, when youre on the wheel, your POV moves with the ship, when off the wheel, it doesnt, your POV stays independent of the ships movement
Edit, however, I think if I was on the wheel a while, id feel a bit motion sick if the wheel didnt move with my POV
@dark-shadow9056 so I’m guessing you like them to fix the auto tracking camera during sailing. This is a mechanic I have not delt with since I have not been able to play the game yet.
I remember from some games like the horrible worst rp game ever Quest 64 how bad a auto tracking camera can be.

I understand a lot. Things like that can definelty effect your gameplay and enjoyment. It pulls you out of the emersion of the emersion and in some cases can just ruin you view and be really really really annoying.So what is your suggestion have a floating camera? One that does not react to the sea of the boat or a fixed camera like it’s on a tripod behind you?
@zombie-p1ague I was thinking have it look like your head or “camera” is Bobbing along to the sea and sea waves, but not completely fixed to it. If that makes any sense :D
@dark-shadow9056 I think I remember reading you and some one else mentioned you missed out on the alpha because of age restrictions. You will be able to get into the beta right?
