I don't think ill gotten cosmetics have been taken back before- apart from the the first Weekender debacle and that was the birth of a new economy so needed proactive remedy.

Take comfort that you have a pleasing tick on the season commendation section and have earn't the curse.

Thats why i demand you to take away the smuggler curse from people that have "exploited" it without doing the commendations for it.

Don’t even think that counts as an exploit. Oversight? But then again, pirates can still do Pirate Legend voyages as long as crewmate is one and reap the rewards.

I completely understand, as you're preaching to the choir with this (I turned in 250 horns of fair winds when they were rare, completed 8 rituals 10 times on the Burning Blade, and those are now nerfed).

Look at it this way-- if Rare didn't care enough about this curse to be concerned about people opening the door for others to get it, they're certainly not going to punish those who took advantage of it by taking it away from them. There's other exploits in this game that, in my opinion, are far worse than simply giving someone else a curse. If players who worked for a curse want to give it to others, that's their choice.

@europa4033 Burning Blade ritual requirements got nerfed? When did that happen?

The storm sale nerfs seem silly but honestly the Burning Blade nerf im mixed about because I hate that floating brick 😭

They're about to. Instead of 8 stacks 10 times, it's reduced to just one 8 stack now.

I hate to be the bringer of bad news, but in the past when they reduced things like this ... it needed one more to mark it complete (even if the person qualified for the the lower number).
