Season 20, stabilizing the game and future updates that might be interesting to see

  • We all know Season 20 is a way for you to catch your breath and fix a lot of things in the game. I agree. But here are 5 things that would drive players crazy. I hope to see them in the future.

    1. The Kraken rework. I hope you haven't completely scrapped it, but it would be nice to see more tentacle attacks (like squeezing ship masts and breaking them, like being hit by a chain ball).
    2. Make spice, sugar, and other ingredient crates usable, so you can use them to create more recipes with cooking. (Each spice has a different effect.)
    3. With the arrival of the GMU, which comes from the overworld, it would be nice to see some technological advancements (obviously realistic for the time) compared to us pirates, such as new ships or weapons like the bayonet.
    4. Add new biomes, but not all available at once. We know the shroud is constantly moving. It would make sense for devils to be unavailable for a month, but for a new biome to be available (so as not to weigh down the game and give the story a sense of purpose).
    5. More marine life and weather events.

    Power boosts.

    Add new biomes

Only one I can see them doing is Teleporting to the Sea of the Damned. They already said they cant expand the current map.
EVEN tho if they added something new, it just end up like: A) Devils Roar and nobody goes there after the first few months. B) Its just typical the same as rest of the sea, boring.

Well, yes, but it must also be said that the Devils were never created as a new biome; they were supposed to be released as part of the game in 2018, but they opted for a separate update. Furthermore, the game included two other regions, one of which was called The Reason of the Five Winds.
I understand the burden a new region would bring, and also the risk of it becoming like the Devils (they were created with the goal of accommodating few players because they were inhospitable), but I suggested the solution: creating a seasonal map. In other words, we know that the shroud is constantly shifting and, as Mike has mentioned several times, contains other islands within it. This could cause the map to change seasonally. In one season, the Devils are unavailable because they've been swallowed up by the shroud, but a new region is available, so as not to weigh down the game.
