A friend and I are on a sloop, diving to servers just looking for something interesting. We arrive on a new server and see a FotD up. Let's go.
As we sail towards the fort, to our left is another sloop, sailing towards them as well, paralleling us. Suddenly we get krakkened. The other sloop anchors, and sends a boarder while shooting at us. Player gets the board, but at the wrong time and gets sucked up by the kraken. He boards again, we kill him, quickly defeat the kraken, and prepare for a naval battle. We had supplies for days.
We demast them and start firing. Since we had so many supplies, my friend decided to shoot some curse balls on them. They sink. My friend jumps in the water to stack their loot and supplies while I bring the ship over.
One of the players gets a back spawn close to the ship. All I heard was someone grab the ladder, so I tossed a blunder bomb at it, knocking him off. I quickly dropped sails a tiny bit, so he couldn't regrab the ladder. My friend in the water kills him. "GG sir." I say. It was a good attempt, to try and take advantage of us while we were krakkened.
Next thing I know, this player is sending me a message on Xbox, saying no, it wasn't a "GG" since we used curse balls on them. I inform him that yes, they're in the game, and he could've used them against us too. He proceeds to lecture me about how you're not supposed to use them (?? I never agreed to that lol) and it's considered an unfair advantage to your opponent. I laughed when I heard this, and asked if my opponent doesn't have a pineapple, am I allowed to eat mine?
I asked him if attacking your opponent while they're krakkened is considered taking advantage, but never got a reply. If we're supplied nicely, I will use anything in my arsenal to sink someone attacking me. Curse balls, bonecallers, chain shot, etc.
