I want to grind past season passes!

    Hi, forgive me of this has a thread already, or if there is already an answer to this wish I don’t know about… But as a returning player I would really like if there was a way to grind the cosmetic rewards of past seasonal passes on my own time, like a feature that allows you to select a season and grind the past pass as well as spend the money on the extra rewards in each one if I wished. Of course I know there’s caveats to this, like they would have to take out the dubloon and gold rewards to cut down on possible inflation… but that’s OK! It would feed my satisfaction alone to be able to get older cosmetics and titles alone.

    I know this might be a strange request, I am just a completionist as much as possible and this would scratch an itch… Haha

    @Cutecoffins Yeah, totally agree. I joined a while back and am kinda sad about all I missed out on. Like the Oreo ship for example (tho everyone in USA missed out on THAT ONE)

    @snugplayer18335 Yes! Exactly! And I heard the devs do want to move away from or at least pay less attention to season pass updates and focus on bigger, major updates in the future... So I feel like creating a system where all past season passes are accessible and grindable would be a good compromise to keep players busy between updates and still keep the easy monetization they likely know they are going to lose with this decision... (And the past passes could have a cheaper plunder pass to make up for the removed rewards like gold+dubloons+premium currency)

    This sort of thing wouldn't be useful to more hardcore players, but it would entice a lot of us more casuals I think!

    @cutecoffins Yes. I am always bored during the gap between acts and seasons, like the act 3 into next season void. nothing happens. everybody is bored

    I know they're bringing back older cosmetics, which you can purchase for doubloons at the Black Market, when it comes around next season.

    Personally I don't like this idea, I think that certain items should be allowed to stay time-limited, (Season Sails or Titles). I do think its okay when some items drop to the shops, as long as they're pretty expensive.
    I think that this could work for the plunder pass items though, since rare decided to remove the purpose of getting it when they bring them back to the store in 6 months.

    @rocksinclair That's totally fair, I can see how such a decision would make veteran players feel slighted, especially since they put in the time back then when it was more up in the air what was going to be available later and what was going away forever... But idk, I'm of the mind for most things that digital goods should not be gated by artificial scarcity.

    I'm sure there's a way to bring back some cosmetics and leave the more limited stuff or something for another time limited pass or something for a healthy middle... I also just like the feeling of progging the pass over buying the items for heaps of gold later.

    All season pass rewards - barring (i think it is) 4 seasonal specific ones - eventually return in game. Currently they can be puchased with doubloons in the outpost stores but with the doubloon changes, the cosmetics in there will shift to a gold cost instead. The way I understand it, pass cosmetics will continue to release in-game eventually like it has all along.

    a lot of the past seasonal rewards are in the shops for doubloons. A LOT of doubloons... allowing us to regrind seasons we missed would passively give us those cosmetics as well as more doubloons for free... and we wouldnt have to buy the cosmetics. so this just adds to the doubloon problem. though there are a few cosmetics they have withheld from releasing to the shops because apparently some people feel those cosmetics are precious and they worked hard for them despite the fact passively earned those rewards by playing during the season.

    and now with rare supposedly making doubloons harder to obtain by only allow us to earn them on saturdays and sundays once a month.... then the black market which they havent openly stated yet but its just the world of warcraft auction house where prices will hit currency cap 100% of the time so we wont be able to win anything. i mean it has to be a coming auction house right? if not why are we deleting currency? why are we so worried about an "economy" in a game without some kind of player trading or auction house? its literally low iq nonsense to refer to anything in this game as an economy.

    I doubt they'll go to the Black Market, but rather to the Outpost Stores for a great amount of gold, since that's what they do for the current stuff.

    I think the Black Market is more for other off-season time-limited stuff. Which includes stuff like the Bonecrusher set, which was a pre-season-model cosmetic

    This is why I mentioned in my post the ideal would be taking out the extra dubloons + gold the past season passes would give us if they ever did this. :) I also do not play this game as hardcore as others, so I actually don’t gain dubloons that frequently. I understand I’m speaking from the place of a casual though. I just like the more seamless grind of the pass rather than going out and hunting dubloons myself.
