I think it would be cool if when you are sailing and not off ship for an extended period of time for mice to get into your food barrels. They could invest your food so you get a bit if poisoning if eaten. Coconuts could not be infested first because they have a hard shell and second because not all starter food should be infestable. You could kill the mice with knives or cutlass .

The devs dropped Arena to avoid maintaining separate game modes every time they updated the game.
They won't bring back all that headache for some random mods.
