I usually dm-ed whichever moderator is online.
Yesterday, I saw 4 online. I dm-ed all 4. No responses.
The person who refused to leave vc - stayed for 10 minutes before leaving on their own.

I hesitated to ping the moderator role because in other servers, it's reserved for more urgent issues - e.g. doxx/phish/scam posts.
But since you've mentioned this as the step I should've taken, next time, I'll ping the moderator role first.

This isn't a one-off incident. I've had reports that received responses only 40+ minutes later, and in some cases, zero acknowledgement.
As much as I appreciate that some moderators on SoT Discord are usually responsive, the process is not as efficient or reliable as in the DBD server.

In the Dead by Daylight Discord server, all I'll need to do is enter a command, and that person will be banned from the voice channel instantly.
No need to dm or explain the situation to anyone.
No need to trouble any moderators to step in.
+1000% efficiency

Summary of the post on how to ban users from a VC:
Step 1: Enable developer mode
Step 2: Add VC Commands role
Step 3: Go to #ac-commands, type: /autochannel ban DiscordUserID
E.g. /autochannel ban 2039485071934123
Only the person who makes the room can ban.

I've met many other casual experienced players who have been similarly frustrated with this issue of dealing with people who refused to leave.
Some people hesitate to recruit on SoT Discord due to this. Tired of the process.
Most players don't bother reporting to moderators. It's not fun or cool.
It's easier to just leave quietly - take a break or switch to a different game.

Ok.
But please note that requiring us to ping the moderator role - publicly exposes ourselves as the one reporting.
Some bad actors would identify and target those who reported them.

Trolls often mess with multiple VCs/people and can't definitively identify the individual who reported them when action is taken.
But when they see someone they trolled/harassed publicly pinged the moderator role, they'd be more suspicious of specific individuals.

1 - if you go to a different channel, some follow.

2 - to make a private call, you need to either
a) be friends on Discord with the other randoms,

• which I usually don't want to. I do not like to add randoms as friends on Discord.

b) make a private server to host a vc

• which is slower to recruit because people prefer to join those with vc on SoT Discord, able to see who the whole crew is and no need to join private servers.
• and I don't want to invite randoms to my private servers, which I reserve for friends only.
• and I do not want to keep making new private servers just for hosting vc with randoms because this will clutter my list of servers
