People on PC (either via Steam or the Windows Store) only have to pay for the game.

You'll need to use the same account as you do on Xbox to play with the same pirate (and all their belongings, achievements &c).
If you have any Xbox exclusive stuff, you might not be able to use those.

Glad to hear it. I kind of wish...they make two separate versions of the game/servers. Those who paid for the game..and those on Gamepass.
