My name is Marc, and first of all, I want to thank you for the incredible work you’ve done with this game. I’m a fan of the pirate world and I love the experience you’ve created.
I’m writing to you because I have an idea that you may have already been told before (or maybe not), but I feel it could bring a fresh breeze to the game and attract new players, or even re-engage those who have drifted away a bit.
The idea is simple: to add support for driving wheels, such as the Logitech G29. Imagining that the wheel could be used to steer the ship’s wheel, with the pedals mapped to key functions like:
• Accelerator to raise the sails,
• Brake to lower them,
• Clutch to drop the anchor,
…I believe the immersion would be amazing. It wouldn’t just provide a new way to play, but could also attract the simracing community and people looking for a more physical and immersive sailing experience.
I hope you can consider this idea, as I think a lot of players would be interested in a feature like this, and it could be a very fun way to rediscover the game.
