Sea of Thieves + Dredge crossover

  • I’ve been thinking, it would be absolutely amazing to see a crossover between Sea of Thieves and Dredge. The idea of blending the atmospheric, eerie fishing mechanics and deep-sea horrors of Dredge into the vibrant, chaotic world of Sea of Thieves opens up endless possibilities!

Enhanced Fishing Mechanics, New Aquatic Creatures & Sea Life, MORE Terrifying Sea Monsters, Atmosphere and Lore

What do you guys think about this?

I am all in favor of adding new sea creatures to the game! Though, as far as a Dredge crossover, they would need to get a little creative with the story. I love the foreboding, monotonous atmosphere and setting of Dredge, but it takes place in modern-day with matching technology.

Here's my idea: Rare and Black Salt Games come up with a story that the sea creatures you see in Dredge originated from the Sea of Thieves, and some pirates (us) in the region inadvertently allow them to escape beyond the Shroud. I think it's plausible, if not believable, that the sea creatures you see in Dredge have lived for hundreds of years down the bottom of the ocean.

This way, we can fight Dredge sea creatures in Sea of Thieves in a way that makes sense for their stories. Great idea, though! I'd love to see what a crossover like that could bring to the game!

  • I agree that the lore has too many differences to a crossover, and the games have different vibes (adventure vs horror).

But I want more mechanics and biomes. And more pve / exploration with more difficulty level and threats.

I have played for 80 hours and did most of the content (stories and world events). Except for PVP and some enigmas, I find the game easy until now. I hope the lvl 35+ reputation quests are harder.

About Dredge creatures, in SoT it is chilling when a rare creature appears in the sea and attack you, and Dreadge has a lot of ideas and concepts. I think more biomes in SoT would add that naturally.

Another think that I miss is flying creatures, would be nice a kind of bird that try to steal the treasures, or something more agressive.
