It would be nice if we can put in and access all the items from all the barrels of that type, instead of being individual.
I like the separation of weapons, wood, and food by barrel, but now all 3 weapon barrels are individual, so I inevitably get stuck sorting items as people just dump into whichever they click and then, like a man who can't find ketchup, say we're out of it because it's not on THAT one.
Idk, I feel like it WAS this way before the update so maybe they got a lot of feedback wanting them individual, but it's too "minecraft hussle" for my liking.
Barrel Stacking
No, beeing able to separate certain items from others is a necessary feature.
Imagine wanting to get cannonballs and instead grabbing fireworks, traps, flares or wanting to get good food and grabbing bananas, worms instead.
With the ability to sort different tiers of food and different cannon ammunition, we are able to avoid these situations and can blindly grab something from certain barrels because we know what they contain.Theres no need for a change, newer pirates just have to get used to it.
Ps. Barrels have always worked that way.
So, you would like there to be a barrel for cannonballs only, chainshot only, etc.?
There's a friend of mine on our crew that organizes barrels in a particular way, saying "Good food up top." or, "Curses are in the lower left." This way, we know if we're dumping food from a storage crate, we know to dump it all into the bottom food barrel and help organize the good food to the top.
Communication helps, and during times when there's "nothing to do" as we're sailing, I'll go around making sure our supplies are organized.
